Foundation Medicine is a molecular information company dedicated to changing the way patients with cancer are treated. Harnessing advanced technology, Foundation Medicine is developing clinical laboratory tests that will broadly capture the most relevant tumor genomic and other molecular information in a single test, and connect it with relevant scientific and medical knowledge to help oncologists determine the right treatment for each patient.
The Clinical Development team is seeking a highly-motivated biologist to facilitate education regarding FMI products in the oncology and pathology communities as a scientific expert through presentations and scientific exchange in support of Foundation Medicine’s molecular tumor boards (MTB) program. The Clinical Development scientist will serve as a scientific resource about cancer-assocaited genomic alterations and will provide up-to-date reports about their association with targeted therapies. This role requires knowledge of cancer biology and molecular oncology, excellent presentations skills and ability to effectively communicate complex scientific issues to a diverse audience. The scientist will also support diverse internal and external collaborations through data mining, hypothesis generation, and advanced genomic analysis as guided by the Clinical Development lead. The position offers flexibility to occasionally work offsite.
