Guest Speaker/Lecturer for Japanese High School Students - GPI US

The mission of GPI US is to empower today’s youth to thrive in a global world through educational study abroad programs. Our top-quality programs challenge, inspire, and educate our students to better prepare them for an increasingly globalized world. Many of our programs explore current issues, leadership, cross-cultural understanding, and problem-solving, all while practicing communicating in English. We aim to maximize students’ experiences through thought-provoking seminars, engaging classes, excursions, conversations with peers, and practical discussion.

GPI US is seeking a guest speaker/lecturer who is interested in speaking to our Japanese high school students visiting the Boston area.

Role:
• Design a talk or lecture based on your own interests, background, and experiences
• If giving a talk, include personal stories, advice for students, and motivational takeaways
• If giving a lecture, include several opportunities for small group work with university discussion leaders in the form of discussion and/or project-based group work

Requirements:
• If giving a lecture, must have experience teaching in a university setting
• The use of visual presentation is not required, but encouraged

Dates & Times:
• Several days and times through March and July/August.
• Sessions last about 2 hours

Compensation:
• Negotiable
