Our Mission

We are a regional coalition of postdocs and postdoctoral associations from 19 Boston-area institutes. Our aim is to foster a sense of community, encourage increased communication, and aid in creating a collaborative environment among postdocs by advocacy efforts and organizing social and career development events to bring together postdocs across Greater Boston.

The Boston Postdoctoral Association began as a grassroots volunteer organization, and was incorporated in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and as a 501(c)6 nonprofit, by Dr. Ian Mahar with the incorporating Board.
