Senior Research Associate Planet Pharma

Responsibilities:

  • Design, generate and test CRISPR constructs via transient transfection and lentiviral transduction 

  • Design and implement high throughput CRISPR screens and follow-up studies 

  • Apply deep sequencing and single cell genomics to analyze cellular response to AAV transduction 

  • Generate stable cell lines 

  • Develop novel technologies to modulate viral replication 

  • Design, execute, and analyze cell-based, biochemical and molecular assays 

  • Communicate results and research progress during team and departmental meetings

  • Prepare, write, analyze, and present technical data and reports 

  • Work as part of a cross-functional team to drive innovation 

Qualifications 

  • BS or MS in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Chemical/Biochemical Engineering, or related field with 2-4 years of industry experience 

  • Mammalian cell culture experience is required 

  • Experience in stable cell line generation, transient transfection, lentiviral transduction and generation is preferred 

  • Hands on CRISPR experience required 

  • Experience with molecular and biochemical methods, such as RT-qPCR, western blotting, and cloning is required 

  • Experience with high throughput screening is a plus 

  • Experience running NGS platforms and analyzing sequencing data is a plus 

  • Experience with design, documentation and execution of experiments 

  • Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, multi-project environment Strong collaboration, team-working skills and communication skills 

  • Independently motivated and detail-oriented with good problem-solving ability
