Senior Research Associate Planet Pharma
Responsibilities:
Design, generate and test CRISPR constructs via transient transfection and lentiviral transduction
Design and implement high throughput CRISPR screens and follow-up studies
Apply deep sequencing and single cell genomics to analyze cellular response to AAV transduction
Generate stable cell lines
Develop novel technologies to modulate viral replication
Design, execute, and analyze cell-based, biochemical and molecular assays
Communicate results and research progress during team and departmental meetings
Prepare, write, analyze, and present technical data and reports
Work as part of a cross-functional team to drive innovation
Qualifications
BS or MS in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Chemical/Biochemical Engineering, or related field with 2-4 years of industry experience
Mammalian cell culture experience is required
Experience in stable cell line generation, transient transfection, lentiviral transduction and generation is preferred
Hands on CRISPR experience required
Experience with molecular and biochemical methods, such as RT-qPCR, western blotting, and cloning is required
Experience with high throughput screening is a plus
Experience running NGS platforms and analyzing sequencing data is a plus
Experience with design, documentation and execution of experiments
Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, multi-project environment Strong collaboration, team-working skills and communication skills
Independently motivated and detail-oriented with good problem-solving ability
