Job Description

The Agarwal Laboratory at the Division of Hematology/Oncology at Boston Children’s Hospital (BCH) in affiliation with the Stem Cell Program and Harvard Stem Cell Institute seeks a highly motivated post-doctoral research fellow to study RNA and telomere biology in human bone marrow failure syndromes. Our laboratory applies genetics, reprogramming, genome editing technologies, and small molecule approaches to patient-derived samples to study normal stem cell biology as well as the basis of stem cell failure and disease (Nagpal N., et al, Cell Stem Cell, 2020). The current research aims to understand gene regulation in order to identify novel approaches for the therapeutic manipulation of telomeres and non-coding RNAs.

The position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with basic and translational scientists in a highly collaborative and stimulating environment in the Division of Hematology/Oncology at BCH, in the vibrant Longwood / Harvard Medical Area. An explicit goal of our work is to translate laboratory discoveries into novel therapies – small molecule-, genetic-, and/or cell-based – for patients with blood and bone marrow failure disorders. Job Requirements

The candidate should have a Ph.D. or an M.D./Ph.D or equivalent training. The position seeks applicants with a strong background in one or more relevant areas including molecular biology (particularly RNA or telomere biology), genome editing, protein biochemistry, development of animal models, and high-throughput screens.
